Don't "Litter" have your Pets Spayed or Neutered

Kittens, cats, dogs, and puppies will anxiously await your arrival hoping for a new home! Check them out! You may just find a new, best friend. For more information, call (918) 649-0986. check out the bulletin board in the pet department at Wal*Mart for pictures of those available. Adoption Fees: $40 for pups and $90 dogs (depending on size); $20 for kittens and $50 for cats.  Remember, PVHS requires spaying/neutering; once the procedure is done, a portion of the adoption fee will be returned to you!

PVHS members can assist those wanting to adopt in person on Thurs., Fri., and Sat.  from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. or Mon, Tue, Wed

The Poteau Valley Humane Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to relieving the pain and suffering of animals through educational efforts as well as direct intervention. It is a community problem and we need the community's help to make a difference in the lives of animals and the people who love and care for them. Poteau Valley Humane Society is supported entirely by volunteers and donations by people just like you. Poteau Valley Humane Society

A Non-Profit Organization chartered under the laws of the State of Oklahoma in 1995. Since that time we have had as few as 3 active members along with only 1 or 2 monthly donors who have helped keep the dream alive!

Mission Statement

The Poteau Valley Humane Society is dedicated to relieving the pain and suffering of animals through educational efforts as well as direct intervention. We believe that the neglect of the local animals is a community problem and it deserves a community solution.

Objective

To enable the community to provide humane treatment to the animals that would otherwise be neglected, mistreated or killed.

Goals

Provide proactive educational programs to the community concerning the health, spaying and neutering, nutrition and humane treatment of animals. Provide an effective avenue for the adoption of neglected and unwanted animals. Rescue as many animals as possible from neglect, abuse, abandonment and death.

We Need Volunteers

We need energetic and concerned people whom are willing to help the Poteau Valley Humane Society reach their goals and objectives. There are many levels of involvement ranging from foster care of the animals to fundraising efforts. We will need help to creating and publishing a newsletter and in a hundred other different ways. The volunteering of your time and efforts can make all the difference in saving an animal from neglect, abuse, abandonment and even death. Your help is needed and will be very appreciated.

Money

Your tax-deductible donations provides the means to help the animals with food and medical care. Without your donations we could not be here to help those animals that need us the most.

Corporate Sponsors

Your business can sponsor the Poteau Valley Humane Society by your tax-deductible donation of money and/or services. We will endeavor to provide sponsors with acknowledgment of the donations by listing you on our web site, newsletter, flyers and any other promotional material where we can express our gratitude for your support.
